Looking Back

The former Rumford Branch of the East Providence Public Library was built in 1905. Prior to its construction, the library was housed in the old Town Hall next door. Known as the East Providence Free Library until the late 1960s, the Rumford Branch became part of the East Providence Public Library system along with Weaver Memorial Library, Riverside Free Library, and the Anne Ide Fuller Library until its closure in 2012.
